She is almost here

So Miss Bella is getting closer to making her appearance into this world.

We have been making lots of trips to the dr. these past few weeks. I have had to go 2x weekly. They have to hook me up to the NST machine and watch Bella's heart/activity waves. With the gestational diabetes, the dr. said the placenta can stop working faster than it would in a regular pregnancy. So far, Bella has passed everyone of the tests.

We made a trip up on Wed. morning as I was having severe back pains and abdominal cramps. The dr. checked and I wasn't even dialated yet. Bella had just decided to lay directly on my pelvic bone and apply LOTS of pressure. They say it can happen when a person is on bedrest. If it is going to happen, it will happen to me. LOL.

We go back Monday for our last sonogram. This sono will determine exactly how big she is and the plan for delivery. The dr. is already pretty much saying she will be doing a scheduled csection. Again, due to the diabetes, if Bella's chest cavity is much wider than her head I will not be able to do a regular delivery for fear of once her head passes through the birth canal she will get stuck. YEAH, we don't want that. UGH!!! Especially after having the dr. tell us stories yesterday of past patients having it happen. I am all game for a csection to keep that from happening. LOL.

We are both more than ready for Bella to be here. The car is loaded with everything we need for the hospital...thanks to the mad dash we made Wed., we just decided to leave it in there. HEHE!

Being on bedrest sucks! There is only so much a person can do when they can't get up and around. :-( But I have managed I guess!!!

I am hoping to be able to keep the blog more up to date once Bella gets here with pictures and such. We shall see how well it goes.

Who Would Have Ever Thought......

Blogging Could Be This Much Fun?
