Christmas....Here & Gone

First off, I hope everyone had a WONDERFUL Christmas. We had a great one. We didn't buy for each other this year. Our gift to each other was to sit back and enjoy the neice and nephew opening the gifts we got them. Colby isn't quit 9 months old but he was interested in the presents. Of course, Addie was all about squeling when opening her gifts...and I don't mean quietly. LOL.
We received a couple of bigger gifts this year. A $100.00 Price Chopper Gift Card....talk about a money saver. YEAH!!! And we received a GPS unit. I am so excited to use it! We have a few other gift cards to use at Bass Pro Shop and Fashion Bug. Adam has been browsing online to see just what he wants. The card can also be redeemed online and the comment was made last night, that he may just check out the whole online shopping buzz. So we shall see if we hit the store or if something happens to land in our mailbox. HEHE
Adam and I would like to wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR! We are hoping for a much better year than we had last year. We are definetly ready to put this year behind us.

Is it really Christmas?

It doesn't seem like Christmas is really here. I have decorated, baked, went to 3 family christmas gatherings, but is just doesn't seem like it is really here. I guess the whirlwind of events this past year just makes the year seem gone. The only thing that makes it seem real to me is the fact that we are out of school these next 2 weeks. I am ready for the new year and for 2008 to be over with. I pray that 2009 is a MUCH better year. I hope everyone has a great holiday season. Stay warm and enjoy your time with family and friends.

Been there and back

So we braved the shopping crowds this morning. Paola Walmart was NUTS. Everything was literally FLYING off the shelves. We didn't get a lot of what we were even looking for. My sister-in-law was able to get most of the things she was looking for, only most of it wasn't on the blitz. It was the biggest crowd I have seen on Black Friday at Walmart in the past several years I have been going.

Tonite, we are going to be attending Addie's first dance recital. She has been working hard on learning her routines. She is super excited about getting to wear her reindeer costume. LOL

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Let the Christmas Spirit ring!!!!

Life has built up!!!!

So life has finally caught up with me. I spent the better part of yesterday at my in-laws in the state of mental breakdown. My mother in law is the best. She let me cry and then cried with me. I guess I have just let it bottle up too much and couldn't take anymore. I am better now though. I just had to get it out.

Other than that, just getting ready to get my Christmas stuff out. I was going to do it tomorrow but I will be entertaining my niece and nephew for a couple of hours in the morning. I can't wait. Colby is getting big enough to "play" now. He is so much fun. As long as I have toy dishes and play food Addie is busy. LOL.

Hope everyone has a good upcoming week. I know I will, we only work 2 days this next week. :)

OHHHH the holidays!!!

The holiday season is officially among us. Two of the local radio stations have went 24 hr Christmas Music. And I thought I was just hearing things last night while I was in Walmart, but they were really playing Christmas music.

YEAH!!!! I am pretty proud of myself

Not to be glotting or anything, but considering the way my week has went, the wedding cake went off without a hitch. And it turned out pretty darn beautiful if I must say so myself. I am not usually one to pat myself on the back. I usually hate the way they turn out, because I put too much into it and can't get past it. LOLOLOLOL. But this one I am darn proud of. I can't thank my mother in law ENOUGH for baking all the layers and making the icing. I also did a sheet cake and was so worried about this cake, I just realized I didn't get any pictures of it. This one was the important one anyway. LOL!

WHY?!?!?!?!

We had another Sad day yesterday. I got off my bus route and Adam kept calling me telling me he needed my help at the house before he could go to work. I kept arguing with him, I was parked to where I couldn't get out easily and I was suppose to stay for a short meeting. I finally got ticked enough that I went home. I walked in the door and Adam shot me the bad news that my grandpa had passed away earlier in the morning and that they didn't want me to know until my route was over. We went to their house and started making plans. We had to get my cousin flown out to Vegas to meet his sister to drive back. She was in the process of driving home anyway. We had to get an uncle home from Oregon and 2 cousins home from Florida. Everyone seems to be doing alright as of now, but that will surely change as time goes on. I know everyone has their time to go, but I don't understand why they all have to go within 5 months. This is the 5th grandparent. WHY?!??!?!?!

Where did OCTOBER go?

Am I am the only that the month of October has "snuck" past? GEEZ! I have a wedding cake for Sat. the 1st of Nov. Just realized this past Sat. that it is in a week. AGHHHHHH! I haven't even looked into buying the peices. WHAT WAS I THINKING? I have to run tomorrow to the city and get everything picked up. THANK GOD FOR A WONDERFUL MOTHER-IN-LAW. She is taking on the journey with me. LOL.

Did get some good news last week. I actually receieved a job promotion. I know, what on earth more can a person do driving a bus??? I changed routes last week to a shorter one. On Thurs. my boss called me into his office and offered me an Administrative Assistant position. I will be the assistant to him and the safety coordinator. I will still drive my route and then the time in between my route will be spent in the office. I can set my own hours and how I want to work them. Not to go over 40 hours a week. I am already paid for 25 hours with just my route. I have really enjoyed it the past few days I have worked. I will be learning lots of new things.

If anyone is interested. On Nov. 8th my sis-in-law and I are doing "Family Christmas Photos". We will have the option of 3 different backgrounds, all involving Christmas. For $50.00 we will do the setting, and you will receive your choice of one of the following.......8x10 print......... Gift Tags.......Greeting Cards. We will be using the building next door to her salon in Paola. Her landlord has been gracious enough to let us "borrow" it for the evening. If you would like to have a family pic done, or just a christmas pic of the kids, shoot me an email and we can get ya on the schedule. It is a pretty good deal, and the reprint prices aren't too bad either. We are both pretty excited about it....

Hope everyone has a good week, and enjoys the fall weather. I am lovin' it!

Another Trip!

So I am off tomorrow on another trip to the Plaza. Kinda funny, it will be with the same teacher that had the "bad" experience last time. So we shall see how it pans out. Doing lots of trips this week and next. We were out of school yesterday and again on Thursday and Friday. So all the trips I can get this week will help out the ol' meesly paycheck.

Went out of town this past weekend. We went back to roaring river, had a blast and caught lots of fish. It was so nice to get away. Just wish the leaves would have been a little more prettier, I have to say they have changed more in Southeast Missouri than they have here though.

Not much else going on. Getting ready to help my sister-in-law at the chili cookoff this Saturday on the Paola Square. She is doing a booth for the Salon and her photography. Addie is going to Garnett with Grandma on Saturday for a beauty pagent. She is soo excited. They had to cancel the pagent a couple of weeks ago due to the rain, so now that it is double booked againest the chili cookoff, Grandma decided to take her, since Sam had already paid for both events.

Hope everyone is having a good week. Enjoy the LOVELY fall weather.

Busy Busy Weekend

We had a very busy weekend.

Friday night a friend of mine called me and her husband had decided to have a concrete pad poured. He was trying to finish it by himself, but wasn't succeeding. We went out and helped them out until about 2:30 Sat. morning.

Sat. we got up, I took Adam to work, took Buddy to the vet, did a Senior Picture setting, and went out to Adam's parents after he arrived out there with a machine that him and his dad needed to use on Sunday. By the way, the portrait setting was one of the most fun and creative ones I have done so far. On Sunday, we spent the day at Adam's parents. We dug a hole to expose a section of the foundation on the back of their house to fix a crack that was causing a leak on the inside. We did some cleaning of the hedge row why we were there with the machine as well. I did get to learn how to operate a trac hoe while it was there. It was fun playing in the dirt if I must say. HeHe!

Other than that not doing to much this week. Just packing and baking for our upcoming weekend away. Can't wait to get away. We are going out of town with some friends.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week.

TRUE FRIENDS....ALWAYS THERE TO CRAP ON YA!!

This is what I was greeted with on my bus this afternoon. Some of the girls thought they were pretty hilarious. They sure have gotten a big kick out of it. LOL. It was pretty cleaver, I just wish I was able to leave it on there. It would make my job a little easier if I did have a toilet on my bus. HAHAHAHAHA!!! I wouldn't have to worry about kids going in their hands, that is for sure.

who would have thought?

Sooooooo...I have had nothing but trips this week. And of course, MORE FREAKIN' EXCITEMENT. On Wed. I took a group of high schoolers to the Nelson Art Museum. Due to scheduling we had to kill about an hour and a half on the Plaza before they were able to do the museum tour. They completed their tour and lunch and they decided to sit in the sculpture park at the museum. A couple of students decided to "RAT OUT" some of the other students. A group of boys decided to bring drugs..yes, you read that right, drugs with them and consumed them while we were on the plaza earlier that morning. Never did get exactly 'what type I transported to the city on my bus'. LOLOLOL. So in a case of the hurries, we loaded up the bus and headed home. We were greeted at the school by the principal, which in turn escorted all the students off the bus and into the school. So lots of paperwork later we have resolved the entire problem. Today I along with 2 other buses took a group of 150 2nd graders to Kaliedoscope. Nothing too exciting, just a very noisy load of children.

I don't have any trips next week, so maybe the excitement will die down for a while.

MUCH RANDOMNESS!

This week is going to be horribly busy. The best part about it, I will get to spend the majority of it outside enjoying the beautiful AUTUMN weather.

I love Autumn!!!!! It is my favorite time of the year. I have been burning the Pumpkin Spice candles as fast as I can buy them. They are diffently my favorites. We are sleeping with the windows open tonite, love to curl up in a nice heavy quilt to stay warm.

I have 3 trips this week on the bus. Tuesday, I take the 8th grade football to Eudora. Nothing better than being bundled up at a football game on a chilly fall evening. Wednesday, I am taking a group to the Nelson Atkins Museum, they have such a beautiful park, think I will endulge myself in a walk. Thursday, I am taking a group of elementary kiddos to Kalidescope, then if they are like all the other groups, we will be picnicing in a park somewhere.

My grandma had her pacemaker put in today. Everything went as planned and she will return home tomorrow. Now we just have to get her through the recovery from the surgery. If only we can keep her from over doing it?

We are getting ready to return to Roaring River in a couple of weeks. We have to go get our last fishing trip in before the season ends. I can't wait to get away. It is such a pretty drive this time of year through southern Missouri. The leaves should be at their coloring changing peak. I will have lots of pictures to share.

Not much else going on. Just lots of hours on the bus for me and lots of hours of playing in the dirt for Adam. Hope everyone has a WONDERFUL week. Get out and enjoy the GORGEOUS weather! I know I will!

Who decided my life is a sitcom?

So we got past the poop problem yesterday.
Last night I had a trip and on the way out of the lot on the bus we were stopped and told we weren't allowed to leave our buses once we arrived at the football game. Evidently, the football players placed a snake on the other teams bus when they were here last Friday night. Since the Freshman & JV was playing on their field, the school received word that the opposing team was "laying low" to return the prank. THAT IS ALL I NEEDED, was to have a snake planted on my bus. So I spent the entire evening sitting on the bus.

SO THIS MORNING.
I was driving down the highway and I heard racket coming from the back. As I look up in my mirror I see one of my little boys doing a "tuck and roll" somersault over the back of his seat, while he is screaming. I see everyone gathering in the aisle of the middle of the bus. I ask them what is going on.......yep you guessed it, more excitement. Evidently a child came on the bus with a FROG. LMAO. It had gotten loose on the bus and landed in the seat that is now childless....he somersaulted to the seat behind him. So I get on the radio and tell them my location and that I was pulling over due to having a frog loose on the bus. Of course, I am the butt of all jokes now...first a pooping child, now a frog. I just wish my bus was equipped with a video camera, because we could have won money off the somersaulting, screaming children. It was quite hilarious. So to get the frog off the bus, one of my older students chased it between the seat and the wall, so I had to dig it out.
If tomorrow has anymore excitement, I will have to start writing a book. LOLOLOL. It shall be called "When is it appropriate to poop on the school bus.".

Hope everyone has a good day!

So....what possesses a person

I got up this morning and my first thought was? UGH! It is Monday, but it is going to be a great day.

I went to work and it started out good. Drove my route, the kids were pretty quite. Made my first two drops at the high school and middle school. Then as they say, "Poop Happens." I MEAN LITERALLY. I was pulling away from the Middle School and had 2 more stops to make, I still have about 10 kids on the bus. The kindergartener behind me says she has to use the restroom, I tell her to hold on, we will be at the school in no time. On the way out of the parking lot, she lets out a blood curdling scream. I stop the bus, obviously in a panic. I ask her what is the problem. She tells me, and mind you I am not joking......"I am pooping in my hand". As you can imagine, I throw the bus in park, jumped up and sure enough she has her hand down her pants...HOLDING ON. I about died. I had kids gagging, hollering gross, more gagging, and you guessed it more gagging. I, being the dumb one asked her,"what are you planning to do with that?" LOL. She said, "I don't want it in my underwear." Then I had to laugh, because sometimes poop is just as funny as farting. Don't ask me why? So I get on the radio and explain that I am having a student that is having an issue and I needed to go around the other buses and get straight to her school. Then my boss comes on and asks if everything is alright, I tried not to laugh, and said yeah, but I will need an administrator to meet my bus at the school and I would explain everything to him when I got back to the lot. So you can now imagine the comments I am getting from everyone. One of the drivers has been driving for 16 years and this is a first for something of this nature. Of course, it would happen to me. LOLOLOL
As I was leaving after my morning route, I told them, if the rest of this week is going to be as "shitty" as it now, I am taking off. LOLOL. They are getting such a kick out of it.

Then I decided to try to hurt myself. I decided to go buy a bicycle this morning and go for a ride. OMG....who needs exercise? JEEZ! I will be hurting for days and I only rode it around the block twice. WOW. I will keep trying to up my time on it, but not guarenteeing ANYTHING. LOL. I have to do something to get the weight off and I thought riding a bicycle was a good idea. WHAT WAS I THINKING????? HAHA

So today is my birthday....but not such a good day

I spent all day yesterday stuck in bed. I was fighting a horrible sinus infection. We had plans last night but had to cancel them. I was up most of the night coughing, blowing my nose, taking meds, etc. etc. I dozed off about 1:00am, at 1:45 the phone rang. As you all know, you know something is wrong. It was my mom, they were taking my grandma by ambulance to Olathe Med. They had already pulled over once behind the ambulance, as the paramedic had to get into the ambulance with them because Grandma stopped breathing. They left the paramedic's vehicle sitting on the side of the road and he continued the ride in the back of the ambulance. They got there just behind the ambulance, as they went full lights and sirens. No way of keeping up with that. So we followed not to long behind them. They already had her on a ventilator, she wasn't breathing at all on her own. They put her in ICU and as of this evening, that is where she remains. They know she is in congestive heart failure, she has blockage to her kidneys, she has COPD, and Empezema, just to name of few of the diagnosis we received today. Once they got her to ICU and hooked up to the machines, her blood pressure bottomed out. They aren't so sure she did suffer a stroke at the time of the blood pressure issue. We won't know that until they start weaning her off the ventilator. So we are taking one day at a time. Also, to go along with it all, Grandpa can't take care of himself at all, so we are having to split between the hospital and their house to have someone there at all times to help with daily chores, or to make medical decisions.
As for Jack, our lifelong neighbor, we stopped by this evening and he is still hanging on. He has a very strong heart. The family seemed to be in pretty good spirits and seemed to have life planned out for when the time comes.
As for my life, not sure if I am coming or going at times. I just wish I would stop passing myself along the way.
I will say, I am sure I won't forget this birthday ever. Doesn't even seem like my birthday, but it is just another day in life I guess.
Hope everyone has a better week than I am having!

Rain Rain Go Away...

Will it ever stop? I am tired of the rain.
Guess I am just lucky I don't live in the south, with the hurricanes and all.

Now I am fighting a stinkin' cold from being out in the lovely temperatures and the rain. UGH!

Not doing much, didn't go to work this am...didn't figure I needed to be driving the bus when I can't hardly see straight and can't breathe through my nose. Kinda hard to keep blowing my nose and drive. LOL.

Don't have much planned for this weekend either.

Hope everyone stays dry and enjoys the weekend.

SAD day

Our lifelong neighbor Jack had a stroke 2 weeks ago. He was doing pretty well with rehab and all. Last Friday morning he again suffered a VERY severe stroke. Once back at the hospital they found out that he has cancer of the liver and pancreas and parts of the tumors are breaking off and causing the storkes. His family made the decision on Monday evening to bring him home in the care of Hospice.

I went out after route this am and spent the morning with them. It was the saddest thing ever. He has a dog that is best friend, and the first thing I see when I walk in is the dog laying on the bed curled up next to him. Instantly my eyes filled with tears, as they are now typing this. :(

The dr. has told the family he will only live about another week. He is completely unresponsive to all noise and even the dog. His son doesn't think he will last past a couple of days. Which after having been through it with my grandparents, he is probably right. The cancer is a very aggressive form of cancer and moves VERY fast. I didn't go through the cancer stages with my grandparents, but in the stages of Hospice care, he is failing very fast.

We have considered Jack and his wife Fritz grandparents since we were born as they too have considered us grandchildren. I guess I have just never put the thought into losing any of my grandparents, at least not at the rate I am going. This will be the 4th one in the past 4 months. I know they aren't biological, but if you have ever had that "special" someone you consider family, you understand where I am coming from.

I just can't believe it is all happening. I just wish someone would wake me up from a bad dream. I understand life is life and things happen for a reason, but dang, does it really have to happen all at once?

CHICKEN RECALL.....it will give you the pox.

So Addie went to preschool yesterday after mom had noticed that she was covered in spots on her face and hands. They went ahead and took her to school anyway. The teachers noticed it and told Samantha. So they got home and mom asked Addie what she was doing. Addie's answer to Grandma.

Addie: Grandma, my teacher said I ate chicken and got the pox. I haven't even ate chicken....

The girl is only 4 years old.

LOLOLOL. I totally had to share that. She doesn't have the pox, just had bug bites or a rash. All clear today.

Here is another good one.....

On Friday I picked her up from preschool and was greeted by the teacher. She proceeded to tell me that Addie wasn't listening very well in circle group that morning and when she was corrected her answer was a huge yawn followed by her saying that she was sooooo tired, she didn't get any sleep the night before because she had to cook her mom and dad dinner, fold their laundry and do their dishes. The teacher said all she could do was laugh.

That just made it obvious to us that Luke and Sam must have said something the night before in a discussion about cooking, cleaning and laundry. LOLOLOL. Their ears may be small, but they hear everything.

Miss Addison is too smart for her own good. LOL. But we still get a good laugh every time something comes out of her mouth.

WHOOO HOOOO!!!!!

We finally bit the bullet today and bought a laptop. We decided for our birthday's, instead of trying to determine what to buy each other we would just make the purchase. So I went today WITHOUT the intent of buying, but after calling Adam with the price, he told me to go ahead and bring it home. So here we are....also purchased a wireless router, so we are "mobile". Throughout the entire house. :P

It is so nice to be able to sit in my own recliner, watch tv and play on the computer. LOL.

Garage Sale.....COMPLETE

So we made it. Saturday was pretty slow.

The only thing fast about it was us running around the front yard pulling the plastic over the tables, everytime it would start to rain. Which was SEVERAL times thoughout the day.

We ended up staying open until about 3pm. Was only suppose to be until noon. But with the rain and all, we kept having people pop in, so we just left it sit.

I made $260.00 with my stuff. So one would say it was a good two days, OR I just have a lot of CRAP. LOL

Nothing exciting happened, as the day before we had the "kung fu fighters". Oh well, it is all over with and I am done for another year. HAHA.

Hope everyone has a GREAT week.

GARAGE SALE...GARAGE SALE....GARAGE SALE

Day one is now complete. What a day. We stayed fairly busy for the most part. Only had one item broke by a customer...but she INSISTED on paying for it anyways. I wasn't worried a bit about it, I had it in the sale to get rid of, so either way it was gone. LOL.
Had one parent that didn't seem to give a care about where her kids were or what they were doing. They were "kung fu fighting" with swim noodles in my front yard for goodness sake. HAHA. Glad nothing got broke during that. :)

Tomorrow is another day. Only half a day though. We will have fun. Enjoy your weekend!

We made it back home. :(

We went out of town this past holiday weekend, for a much needed vacation. We went to Roaring River in Cassville, Mo. Why, you ask? Trout fishing. It was so nice to get away and relax in the cabin and either go to the river fishing, or doing nothing. We have been so in need of getting away. Alot has went on in the past 4 months and we didn't realize how bad we needed to get away.

Now, we are back to the same ol' routine. Believe me, we could have stayed there a couple of weeks and it wouldn't have bothered either of us. ;)

Not much else going on. Still trying to relax away what is left of this holiday weekend.

Get to go to the local DMV in the morning to attempt to sort out a problem with the title on my new car. Who knows, I may have to pack up afterwards and get away again. HAHA.....you all know how the DMV works, makes some wonder where they actually come across their employees at times. LOL

Hope everyone has a joyous week ahead. Only 4 work days though!

LOTS TO SHARE

So the last time I posted, we were getting my settlement, going car shopping, looking at moving. WOW, that is a lot to think about in a weeks time.

Starting on Wednesday at 8:30pm and thru Friday I worked 25.5 hours. Talk about lack of sleep. Wednesday night we went and looked at a car, we got back home and they needed help at work. Our school enrollment was Tuesday and Wednesday of last week. So starting Wednesday night we started sorting the enrollment forms and setting up routes. We had until 9:30am on Thursday to get our "5" city routes set up, ran, times set, typed up, and submitted to the local newspaper, to be printed in the Friday paper. I worked until 1am and decided I couldn't go anymore. I came home and and laid there staring at the ceiling because everyone knows when you have so much happening at the time you can't sleep, I returned back to work at 6:30am. By 7am I was on a bus running 2 different routes, writing times down.

I came home Thursday afternoon at 5:30 and was ready for bed. LOLOLOL. Adam called and he had stopped to look at a car. He was bringing it home for me to drive back to the car lot in Stilwell. HELLO, I WAS RUNNING ON A FEW HOURS OF SLEEP HERE. DANG!

So after my "loving", NOT, husband decided to spend 3 STINKIN' hours of hageling the dang salesman, while I was dozing off in the chair. I started signing papers and I drove my new car home. We ended up with a 2004 , 4-door, four wheel drive, Blazer. I LOVE IT, by the way. But we could have picked another night to buy it. HAHA. Oh yeah, it is a pewter color. Basically it is tan. :)

We did receive the settlement, IN FULL. YEAH!

We have decided we are moving, on one condition. We are in the process of talking with the gal about getting the house off the market. She told us she would. She is looking to be moving out quite soon, so that means we will be moving soon as well. We have to give 30 days notice to our landlord. I have started cleaning and sorting my CRAPLOAD of things I don't use, haven't used and don't need.

We spent the weekend at the Christian Youth Rodeo we have been helping out with since April. I have been helping the secretary and treasurer out by completing all score entries into the computer for their payouts. It has been very fun. The kids are GREAT. We have the finals rodeo the entire weekend of Aug. 22-24 in Mound City. I will miss it for sure. Until it starts back up in April. It has kept us pretty busy this past Spring and Summer. Which by the way JEN, they have it scheduled to return to Burlington again next season, so I will be back to see ya..hopefully before that though. ;)

School starts on Wednesday, so I am finishing up getting my route set up, finished, learned, phone calls made to all students with pickup times, etc. Hopefully, once school starts, life will slow back down a little bit. HAHA!

Hope everyone has an enjoyable rest of the summer. It won't last much longer.

FINALLY THEY SETTLED

Well we have been nothing but busy.

I finally got the insurance to settle on my car accident. They called me on Monday and offered me a settlement. We didn't feel as though they were offering enough so we counter-offered and believe it or not they called me yesterday and were happy to except our offer. So they are sending me a check today. I am so stinkin' excited. LOL.

The most exciting part of the whole deal is "I AM GOING CAR SHOPPING". We had to sell my Saturn, due to me being out of work so long and our bills piling up, so now I get a new car.

Other news, we have been house shopping. We have decided that we can't stay here another winter. Just this past winter months we paid the exact amount for monthly rent as we did for our monthly electric/gas bills. Plus our summer electric bill is outragous due to running 2 window unit air conditioners. So we have to do something.

We went last night and looked at a BEAUTIFUL 4 year old house on 3 acres in Drexel. I FELL in love instantly. Of course, there are pros and cons. The pros mainly consist of the amount of money we would save during the winter. The rent is the same as what we pay now. The con's...yeah, the con's. She has it on the market until December, BUT she said she would be willing to see about getting it off the market, since she hasn't had one looker since she put it on in April. We would have to haul water, but we can handle that. There is a total of 10 acres, but it is split with a house of 3 acres and a house on 7 acres. In order to get to the house, that 10 acres is up on a hill in the middle of 75 acres. You can't see the house from any surrounding road. To get in the driveway, we would have to cross a set of railroad tracks, BUT, beings it is a small rail line, they don't run that many trains. So we could probably live with that. So we are debating everything.

If it just depended on the house we would be moving immediately. It is a 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bath, formal living room, formal dining room, MAGNIFICENT kitchen, breakfast nook in the kitchen, and a family room. The outside has a 2 car garage with a large covered porch off the side of it, the house has a beautiful front porch and a nice deck off the kitchen.

But we have to look at the thoughts of the driveway, hauling water and living so far away from family. It is only about 40 minutes from Paola, but our family doesn't like to travel. LOLOLOL.
So we should know by next week if we are going to take it or not.

So as you can see, we have been busy. Maybe by this time next week, we will be starting to pack. Which by the way if we do move, we will be having a LARGE moving sale. Since that house doesn't have a basement, I would have to drastically downsize. LOL

Finally back to work

I finally got to return to work yesterday. IT WAS SO NICE! I was a little nervous about driving the bus since I haven't been in it since March, but it wasn't bad at all. It came right back to me.

I can't wait to see all the kids again, that will be what makes it all the more exciting to get back.

Not much else going on now. Hope everyone has an awesome week. Stay cool!

YEAH!!!!!!!

We walked in the parade last night. Pictures will be coming later. LOL. It was hot! LOTS of people and no air moving.

I did get to see several of the kiddos from my bus and they all asked if I was coming back. It was so neat to see them get so excited when I told them that I was going to be their driver. Even the parents got excited. It definetly made me feel good. :)

I am sitting here bored. I am waiting on the carpet guy to get here to fix my carpet. They laid it down last week and the transition piece to the bathroom has popped loose and the seam in the hallway looks Craptastic! So they are returning to fix their work!

Hope everyone is staying cool. This weather stinks! The bad thing is, August is usually always hotter, AGH!

Finally I am blogging

Ok, So everyone keeps on me about blogging. So here I am.

I am finally, as of today, returning to work. I went and did my defensive driving class and back to being legal. I will go back to full-time on Monday. I am stickin' excited! :)

Tomorrow night, Adam and I will be in the Miami County Fair Parade. Adam will be riding a golf cart with my brother, throwing candy while myself and my sis-in-law are walking and handing out fliers promoting her new salon. Which by the way is absolutely gorgeous! If you get a chance to stop by we are doing the Open House on Friday, August 1st. She is opening in a newly restored building on the square in Paola. The owner, put lots of time and money into the restoration. It is magnificant!

Other than that, not much else going on. I am just ready to get back to work and see my kiddos again. I have missed them!

Who Would Have Ever Thought......

Blogging Could Be This Much Fun?
