Annabella Maryana was born on Jan. 25, 2010 at 12:50pm. She weighed 8lbs 2oz and was 19 3/4inches long.
My water broke on its own at 12:05am, that is an experience in itself. lol. We got to the hospital about 1am and was only dialated to 1/2cm. They hooked me up to all the machines and placed cerivdal in my cervix. My blood pressure started going up and I wasn't able to sit up without it going into stroke range. About 9:30am or so my dr. came in and checked and I hadn't dialated AT ALL since I arrived at the hospital. I was suppose to go to her office that morning for a sonogram to determine if we were in for a csection for a big baby or not. Since my water broke, they weren't able to do a csection at the hospital that would determine a good reading so she decided it would be in the best interest of myself and the baby to do a csection anyway. So they scheduled me at noon, there were already 3 scheduled ahead of me. We went in at noon and I was started prep for the epidural. My dr. was running late at the office so she didn't get there until 12:23pm. They brought Adam in after I was all prepped and laying on the O.R. table and started the procedure. She was born within about 30 minutes. The procedure was nothing, seriously. The dr. and nurses were talking about grocery shopping and everyday life while doing it. Adam was laughing and said "it must mean everything is going as planned if they are talking about that." LOL.
We were able to come home on the Thursday following delivery. It was rough coming home. I wasn't able to breastfeed, but it took a good week to figure out she wasn't getting enough. The final straw was on Wed. morning that next week at 3am Bella was crying and screaming and I was crying because she wouldn't eat and Adam didn't know what to do for either of us. Now she is doing as a baby does, eats, sleeps, and poops...lol. We are finally getting on somewhat of a schedule. She is waking herself up every 3 hours or so to eat.
We are so happy to be home and enjoying our baby girl. We did family pics on Sunday and they turned out SUPER CUTE! She did a super job during the photo session. If you are on Facebook, you can see them there.
We can't wait for her to get a little bigger when she starts cooing and laughing, we are only getting the gas smiles now. :-) Believe me, we get them often. HAHA! She has been a super baby now that we have the feedings down pat.
I am hoping to be able to keep posting her milestones and funny stories on here, but getting on the computer has been a hard thing these past couple of weeks, so there may be a space between updates. ;0)
