Back to blogging

I was just sitting here thinking that I haven't blogged in a long time. I went back and read my old blogs and was so HAPPY to see everything I did blog when Bella was so little. Things I have forgotten about. So here I am, catching up on a lot of time passed Bella is now 3 years old and will be starting preschool in about a month. WOW, she is growing up fast! I am still staying home everyday with her while Daddy is working second shift for BNSF up in KCKS. We love being able to stay home. We get to see Daddy in the mornings and he then leaves about 1:30 in the afternoon. We just recently put a pool in the back yard and Bella LOVES it, as do we. It is so nice! We have been spending A LOT of time with my brother and his kids. Last time I blogged he was still married. He has been divorced for over a year now and life has changed drastically, but the kids seem so happy when they are around him. Bella has a calf, Penguin, out at her grandparents house. He is a Holstein. We bought him with the intentions of selling him come fall to help pay for a butcher calf. She loves her animals. We lost a dear friend of ours this past February. Andy, our next door neighbor had been diagnosed with Dementia/Alzheimers after leaving the house with a loaded pistol, threating suicide. We went through several long months of him being at a psychiactric hospital in KCMO. We then were able to move him back to Paola, to Country Club Estates assisted living. On February 4, 2013 Andy wasn't having a good day. Marge had even called his brother to come from Oklahoma to visit him, as she felt his time was getting shorter. That evening, I received a phone call from a nurse saying Andy was gone. I told her I would go get Marge and we would be up. She then explained that he had walked away. After a long all night search, with HUNDREDS of people looking, Andy was found the following morning along side of the railroad tracks just south of the facility, where he had fallen off the side of the tracks and passed away. We love and miss him dearly. Bella looked up to him and he was just like a Grandpa to him. After Andy's death, I took over power attorney for Marge and that has been an everyday adventure, from finances to something breaking in the house. :) We have thought several times and even looked about moving back to the country but nothing has become available. So this year, we built a nice shed in the back yard and started a wonderful garden. We have started having cucumbers and tomatoes but no green beans yet. So hopefully soon I will be canning away. We have become very close with our next door neighbors, Aaron and Julie McRoberts. I even watched their little boy Noah from the time he was 4 weeks old until he was about 8 months old or so. Julie and I have become best of friends. I love her dearly. We did find out earlier in the year we were expecting another baby. I spent most of the pregnancy at the dr. office early on. I was bleeding. I went to the dr. just thinking I was having female issues because I hadn't stopped bleeding from my last period. The dr. was even surprised to find out I was pregnant. I spent several weeks worrying about what could happen. Would the baby be ok? Would I be ok? After about 7 weeks, I did have a miscarriage. We were ok with it, because we both felt something would be horribly wrong. We may try again or we may just have Bella. We haven't really decided yet. In due time, we will. I guess that is all for now. I am hoping to be able to keep up with all of this much better.

Who Would Have Ever Thought......

Blogging Could Be This Much Fun?
